Challenge: Web site design.
As part of the launch of H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, a new service initiative for members of the military and their families, the board of directors of Operation Homefront Missouri felt the program warranted its own Web presentation. As a charity, it was important that we hold the cost to a minimum in order to devote as much of our financial resources to our mission. Ryan worked tirelessly to complete the core of the Web design in order that we might launch as quickly as possible. He patiently explained the process in laymans terms, offering invaluable suggestions to improve the ease of use and overall effectiveness of the site.
There is no question that his efforts will not only enhance and promote the program, but will streamline the process of communication and reduce the workload of the volunteers who manage this new initiative.
On behalf of the entire board of directors and executives of Operation Homefront Missouri, my thanks and gratitude for a job well done!

Challenge: VHS to DVD transfer.
I came to MicroEffects for my VHS tape to DVD transfer. I had several videos from my childhood that I wanted to have put on DVD. In addition to that, I wanted several copies made to give to extended family. Simply sending away my priceless memories to some unknown warehouse somewhere wasn't an option. Read more...
MicroEffects had the personal touch I was looking for. I was able to give personal instructions on sequence, labeling, and editing. MicroEffects even enhanced the starting screen with music and graphics, which created a professional look to my DVDs. Beyond that, when I said that I had hoped to be able to give the DVDs as Christmas presents, they went the extra mile and got it done on time for me to mail them out to my family.
MicroEffects has more than reasonable pricing for the tape to DVD transfer. I received wonderful customer service in every aspect of the transaction. I was pleased to receive the VHS tapes, still in the original condition, as well as multiple copies of my childhood memories put onto two disc sets. I highly recommend MicroEffects in handling your VHS tape to DVD transfer needs.

Challenge: Slow computer.
We would like to thank Mr Ryan Sechrest for the wonderful job he has done on our laptop computer. He was very knowledgeable and walked us through every facet of the problems we were having with our computer. When I was assigned the task of redesigning my company's website I thought I was in real trouble. I didn't have a clue on what it took to build a site from the scratch, nor did I know anything about websites for that matter. Thanks to Ryan at MicroEffects that changed very quickly. Challenge: All images erased from digital camera.
I remember receiving a business card that read: "For all your computer needs." I called them explaining how I accidentally erased all my pictures from my memory card. I was devastated but still had hope after they said they'd try. I dropped off my memory card and the same day I got a call back saying that 400 something pictures were recovered. I had everything on that camera from wedding to vacation. I would've probably paid up to two hundred dollars to get those pictures and the fact is, MicroEffects did it for under $50. They won me over for life!!

Challenge: Can't get online anymore.
All of a sudden I couldn't get online anymore. I remember my friend just had her computer fixed and so I asked her if she could recommend someone. Without hesitation she said to call MicroEffects and so I did. I was surprised how fast they could schedule me. I figured it may take 2 or 3 days, however, they asked me if I was available for a representative to come to my house tomorrow to take a look. Read more...
At 6:15pm on the dot Ryan from MicroEffects showed up. I took him to the computer and opened the internet window to show him the error I was getting. He looked at me and said that I wasn�t running any security software and that I was likely infected with spyware. I was surprised because I thought the computer came with everything. I let him be with the computer as I had work of my own to do. I simply asked him to do whatever needs to be done to get back online, because I needed the internet.
About an hour later Ryan showed me the log that there were over 700 vulnerabilities on my computer of which he removed all. He also put anti-virus, anti-spyware and a firewall on my computer. I looked at the new icons on my screen and asked him what I needed to do with those and he simply said nothing, as everything was setup to check the computer and remove problems automatically. Best of all, now the internet works again, too.
Overall, I have to say that Ryan was knowledgeable, fixed my problem quickly and I haven�t had any problems with the internet since. Thank you!

Challenge: Internet is very slow.
Our Internet at home was really slow, which is why we contacted MicroEffects. It was thanks to them that we found out that our neighbors were using our wireless connection, impacting our Internet speed greatly. They setup advanced security measures and tutored me on how to maintain it. I'm very happy with what they've done and they charge 3 times less than your average support store.

Challenge: Security software recommendations.
What's great about the guys at MicroEffects is that they ALWAYS have an answer for me and my pc questions. I don't know how often I've called, but when I do, they are always friendly, patiently listen and give me the facts without trying to sell me something I don't need. That alone is worth a lot to me and I trust them with all my pc needs. -Mike

Challenge: Virus/Spyware infected computer.
I've always taken my desktop to the Geek Squad, but a week ago a co-worker referred me to MicroEffects. I surf a lot online and my machine is always infected even with AntiVirus, so I have to wipe the system a lot. Read more...
The Geek Squad makes you backup your own data when they delete everything, they make you put your own programs back and then nothing is like it used to be. Well, MicroEffects is the opposite. They backed my data for me, put it all back where it belonged, installed the programs from the CD's I gave them, and customized everything to my liking just as it was before. I don't have to do anything anymore. After this experience, I haven't been back to the Geek Squad for computer related items since.
